The team is led by Managing Director Ray Barnard who boasts extensive corporate experience in Sales and Marketing. During his time at a speciality chemicals multinational, Ray was elevated to the position of European Sales and Marketing Director successfully overseeing new divisional start-ups for the company in France, Italy, Germany and the UK. He was also responsible for the introduction of a range of products in 1988, which are still available today and widely used, by amongst others, British Gas. Ray has spear-headed the direction of Lumisi since it’s creation and has been developing his skills and experience further within a small business environment. Ray’s unique experience of working both within a corporate environment and with SME’s have been vital to the development of Lumisi and is invaluable to Lumisi client brands.
Luke’s areas of expertise are in the creation and development of brand identity, driven by a passion for graphic design and an extensive knowledge of producing artwork for all types of print production. Having setup and successfully ran his own design partnership in London since 1998, he relocated to the North West of England and subsequently merged the business to create Lumisi Ltd. Landmark projects include branding for StatPro Revolution on the NASDAQ tower in Times Square NY and launch event at the prestigious Tate Modern, a two year campaign for AmicusHorizon’s the Lamborn housing development and marketing communications for Capital FM’s; Help a London Child, Christmas Live from Earls Court and Party in the Park in aid of the Princes Trust. Luke’s experience helping companies of all sizes to grow their brand awareness and build stronger campaign strategies through the use of creative graphic design based communications, has made him one of the most sought after designers in the area.
Director of Projects
Si is Lumisi’s Director of Projects and is responsible for overseeing creative, events and online branding projects making him an integral connection between Lumisi’s clients, creative team and suppliers. As is a graduate of business and marketing from Liverpool John Moores University he has previously worked for Kellogg’s in Manchester. During his time at Kellogg’s he trained as a Sales Manager, before moving into the marketing dept where, amongst other projects he oversaw the introduction of a new ‘automated ordering system’. Since 2001 he has been developing his skill set within a small business environment when he was given the opportunity to run his own company. As co-founder of Lumisi he has a wealth of experience working with both multinational and SME clients.
Key Account Manager
Richard has worked at Lumisi for 15 years, joining the team after graduating from Chester University on completion of his marketing degree. Richard brings a wealth of knowledge in social media marketing and events management. Working closely with clients, Richard brings energy and commitment to his projects ensuring productive working relationships and successful results.
Richard has been instrumental in developing a successful events operation, working closely with clients to fulfil their marketing collateral requirements. Richard has worked with our web development team to design and launch a brand new inventory system, which allows clients to manage their marketing collateral and events equipment.
Copywriter & Content Manager
Lucie joined Lumisi into 2018 after working as a freelance copywriter for several years. Lucie has worked with clients across many industries from all over the world. Her skills include preparing and editing website content, marketing material, blogs, social media campaigns and newsletters.
A business and marketing graduate from Bristol University West of England, Lucie spent 12 years working for Iceland International. During her time as Sales and Marketing Manager, Lucie was responsible for delivering a cohesive brand message across several countries.
Lucie brings with her a passion for creating unique and powerful sales-led copy and works collaboratively with clients to deliver successful campaigns.
Luke completed a degree in Product Design at Salford University, during which time he designed for such companies as Bentley, the prestigious British motoring company. He also developed a great aptitude and understanding for designing forward thinking experimental products within the health sector. After University Luke completed various freelance graphics projects within the hospitality field before joining the Lumisi team. Luke’s background in an array of artistic outlets and thirst for creativity along with his 3D product design background plays a major role in developing clients communications whilst providing inspiration for the whole Lumisi office.
Will is a skilled graphic designer with more than ten year’s experience developing brands across various industries. Will is a great asset to the Lumisi team bringing vision, passion and creativity to each of his projects. Working collaboratively with clients to create powerful and unique campaigns, Will effectively manages projects from initial conception through to launch.
Will is proficient in Adobe tools, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects and Premiere Pro. Frequently working in Cinema 4D to create realistic visuals, including exhibition stand designs, Will is able to bring initial design concepts to life.
Will also has a strong working knowledge of web design using HTML and CSS to develop cohesive and effective websites that reflect the client’s branding.
Web Designer & Developer
Matt joined Lumisi after completing a Higher Apprenticeship, earning a ‘Distinction’ grade in Marketing Content Production. Matt’s main skillset is building the layout, structure, functionality and strategy of online experiences and using markup and programming technologies to push client’s websites beyond those of their competitors.
Matt has a forward-thinking strategic mindset to execute projects which produce leads and engagement. He possesses tremendous ambition to elevate brand communications and does so with great passion.
Mary joined the Lumisi team as a Graphic Designer in March 2020. Having previously worked in-house for sectors spanning Education, Cosmetic and Biotechnology. Mary has undertaken design projects such as packaging for a well-known British high street brand and widely-accessed print literature.
Outside of work, Mary is a huge fan of stand-up comedy and is partial to a spot of amateur interior design.
Graphic Designer & Events Coordinator
Ambitious with a strong desire to succeed, Cheryl has over 20 years’ experience as a graphic designer and is also an award winning cake designer.
Cheryl joins the Lumisi team having worked within the packaging and labelling industry for most of her professional life and has repro’ed for litho, screen, digital and flexo print, overseeing projects from start to finish.
Jacob joined the Lumisi team in 2018 as Operations Assistant as part of a Business Administration Apprenticeship. Jacob is keen to learn and hopes to gain experience across a wide range of business skills. Jacob is an avid footballer and skier and holds a black-tag in Taekwondo. His energy and enthusiasm is a tremendous asset to the team.
